Healing Ministry
All healing is spiritual healing! With this truth in mind, we hold a Healing Service every third Sunday of the month, at 11:30 a.m. (after the 10 a.m. service ends).
Anyone seeking a restoration of health and wholeness, healing of any kind—from sickness, injury, grief, mental illness, addiction, or any other form of hurt or dysfunction—is welcome to attend. You do not need to be a member of St. David’s to take part.
Prayer Shawls
Church members who can knit or crochet prayerfully create beautiful shawls for new mothers in the congregation, for members who are sick or injured, and for those who are grieving.
Meals
When church members are sick, injured, or disabled, the Outreach committee coordinates people to prepare and deliver meals to their homes. When families have new babies, the Guild of the Christ Child brings a fresh, home-cooked dinner or brunch to their home.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors
A group of lay members are trained and licensed by the bishop to deliver and administer communion to members who are unable to attend services in person.
Cards, Calls & Flowers
Every month, members of the Episcopal Church Women sign and send cards to those church members who are unable to attend services because they are ill, disabled, or living in long-term care facilities.
Every week, members of the Flower Guild remix the altar flowers into smaller arrangements and then hand-deliver them to members who are sick or bereaved, or who are celebrating a milestone such as a birthday, an anniversary, or a new baby.
On an ongoing basis, members of the Parish Life committee reach out by phone to those who are unable to attend services regularly.
