The Right Reverend Dr. Todd A. McGregor, Clergy-in-Residence
Our Clergy-in-Residence from April 14 to October 13, 2024, is The Right Reverend Dr. Todd A. McGregor, Retired Bishop of Toliara, Madagascar.
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Todd McGregor has served as an Episcopal missionary for 30 years in Madagascar and Kenya. He was elected and consecrated Missionary Bishop in December, 2006, with the purpose of starting a new Diocese of Toliara, Madagascar. In 2013, he was elected as the first diocesan Bishop of Toliara. He oversaw the strategic plan, development, growth, and administrative needs throughout the diocese and was chief pastor for more than 10,000 Anglicans, 15 clergy, 20 evangelists and 110 widely-dispersed congregations. Prior to his election, McGregor served as Director of Evangelism and Mission in a remote mission area of Marsabit, Kenya. His responsibility was setting up and implementing growth in the northern part of the diocese.
Ordained as a Priest in the Anglican Diocese of Antananarivo in 1997, McGregor served in a variety of capacities, including starting a new international church, Director of Evangelism and Mission in the diocese, partnering with SAHASOA to start 10 medical clinics, and planning and implementing a school for evangelism in the country’s capital. Bishop McGregor has a DMIN from Gordon Conwell, a MDIV from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a BA from Roberts Wesleyan. Todd and his wife, the Rev. Dr. Patricia McGregor (Patsy), live in Hobe Sound, FL, and have two adult children.
Joe Brabham, Music Director and Organist
Joe spent his adult career as a musician in the Methodist Church before coming to St. David’s, has taught music in the Broward School District for thirty one years, most of which at Hallandale Elementary School, and is a member of the “Nova Singers”, a 140 voice community choir sponsored by Nova Southeastern University. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where he studied music education and educational leadership.
Yvonne Elliott, Administrative Assistant
Yvonne worked with numerous organizations throughout her career. Yvonne retired from The Church Pension Fund for the Episcopal Clergy and Spouses in Manhattan after 20 years of service. She served as the Coordinator of Program Support, where she was in charge of the planning and organizing of the Life Planning Conferences for the active and retired clergy of the Episcopal Church in the U.S. She was also in charge of the conferences for the lay employees and newly elected Bishops. Her most rewarding experience was working with retired clergy and their spouses. She served as the Vestry Secretary at St. David’s for two years, as well as an usher at Sunday services with her husband Lincoln.
Glenn Bresnahan, Sexton
Glenn was born outside Boston, grew up in Vero Beach and has lived in Loxahatchee with his wife and children for fifteen years. Glenn has attended St. David’s since the Spring of 2007, where he and his wife Helena raised their children Riley, Robbie and Reagan. A graduate of the University of West Florida in 1995, Glenn has been a businessman in the staffing industry in Palm Beach County since early 1996.
