RECTOR’S MESSAGE- Fr. Thomas.
Last week I spoke about being in a state of uncertainty about who we are during the pandemic.  Here’s a different account with regards to knowing who we are.  “I feel sick,” said the voice from the bedroom.  “You’re not sick, get up and get ready for school,” said the mother outside the door.  “I hate school and I’m not going, “was the reply.  “I’m always messing up and getting told off.  The teachers hate me and constantly complain about me.”  “I’m sorry, but you’re going to school, and that’s final!” said the mother.  “Mistakes are how we learn and develop so please try not to take criticism so personally.  I also can’t believe that nobody likes you; you have a lot of friends.  Besides, you’re the Principal.”
As Christians, we’ve all been given the responsibility and privilege of spreading the Good News of God’s love, in thought, word, and deed.  As we know all too well, love will find a way, but indifference will find an excuse.  In recent months we may not have been in a position to change our circumstances or other people, but “If you don’t like the way your life looks, try changing the way you look at life.”
